Been to many different Chinese restaurants. Some good some so so. This was just so so. The crab ragoons were the only exception. Everything else from the California rolls to the 50 just so so.

Average sushi, same goes for pretty much anything else on the menu. You're not going to be amazed, but you won't be disappointed either. Quick service and the place is usually empty so that's a bonus. If you're looking for a safe choice, this your place.

Pretty solid delivery of Japanese cuisine. Service was great, and everything was fresh.

My daughter had the shrimp and broccoli dinner and I had the regular sushi with a shumi appetizer. The shumi was deep fried and crunchy (not what I am typically used to) but it had a decent flavor to it. The service was quick as it was not very busy, and the waitress was nice. Our dinner came out quickly and as you can see by the photos and previous reviews they do skimp on the rice on your rolls. Sushi was fresh, roll was good and my daughter loved the orange slices at the end of the meal, she was not a fan of the broccoli and was bummed she only got 4 pieces of shrimp in her meal but all in all it was good. There is no kids menu but it was not a bad meal and at $31.00 it was pretty decent, I'm not sure we would go out of our way to eat here again.

I have had take out here about 4 times now and I have been very impressed. Food has been fresh and hot egg rolls have never been greasy! Everything I have had has been great, the staff are also very nice. Definitely recommend.

Love the sushi bar here. They have in kitchen hibachi, but it was just as good as the food cooked in front of you. Service is very friendly. Modern decor, new tables and sushi bar.

Used to get this almost every Sunday night while in college. Never had a complaint about the food or service. I would call ahead of time and pick it up. It was always ready when they said it would be and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend it

I'm not a huge fan of Chinese food but as far as Chinese food goes, this place is the best around Stroudsburg.

Good food, fast service. Waitress's were very nice but knew little English. Would definitely come here again.

Great for hibachi not so much for sushi. I am pretty picky with my sushi and I couldn't finish it. Otherwise it is a great place for hibachi food and bringing the whole family

Stopped in for dinner. The staff has a hard time with English so it was difficult ordering "Kettle One Vodka on the rocks with a lime". We ordered sushi. It was very good. If I were in the area I would return.

We absolutely loved Ben, the new chef. We had a three-person boat which was out of this world. Thank you!

Being from Brooklyn, we have TONS of sushi spots to choose from. On top of that, I'm a snooty NY'er that believes great food only comes from NY. Having said that, I was pleasantly surprised by the food we got here. I was really expecting to get sub par food when we pulled up to this little hole in the wall, terribly decorated, strip mall eatery. The feeling of superiority was quickly dashed when my freshly made hot and sour soup showed up. It was painfully spicy (exactly how I like it) hot, and really fresh. The sushi was fresh and tasty, and although it seemed to be a little short on the rice, it's still held together pretty well. The shrimp tempura appetizer was a huge portion and was a little too heavy on the coating, but it was still pretty good. The Generals Taos chicken was delicious as was my wife's soup. All in all, I have to admit, Ichiban made me eat my words (which were also a bit tasty). Word to the wise, this location it's way better than the Hibachi Steakhouse location.

What should have been a decent review has evolved into a surprising negative experience. Had dinner at Ichiban's with my family Sunday evening 3/16/14. I order take out here almost every week and had dined in 4 or 5 in the last few months and expected tonight to be the same pleasant dining experience I was accustomed to. I ordered Tom Yum soup and Bean Curd Szechuan Style. The soup was extremely salty, more so than I have ever tasted soup before. I had a few spoonful's but dare not have any more for fear of filling my sodium quota for the week. What really shocked and disappointed me is the uncaring, unapologetic attitude of our server and the staff when I bit into a piece of Tofu and got a giant wooden splinter stuck in my gum. It was not only painful but cut my gum and drew blood. I quietly called the waitress over to show her the piece of wood. It was obviously a piece of skewer that made its way into my food. I whispered to her as to not embarrass them and bring it to the attention of the other patrons in the restaurant. She asked if I wanted another dish but at that point I just said no. I was expecting a manager or the chef to come over to apologize but that never happened. I was sure I would see some kind of adjustment on the bill but when I got the check it was for full price. I was expecting a complimentary desert or maybe 10% off our check or something to make up for my experience but was disappointed. We quietly went over to the cashier / manager? and requested some kind of adjustment. I explained that any reputable restaurant would comp the dish or offer something free and at least beg forgiveness. After all I was injured because of their carelessness. What was begrudgingly offered to me was 10% off the dish which came to .80 cents. Our bill was over $50 and they offered me .80 cents and still no apology. With a little more care and concern about their customers I would have shrugged it off, but the way this was handled was just horrible. Ichiban has lost my good will and my continued patronage as well as my family's.

Excellent Chinese and Japanese mixed menu. This is the original restaurant and Ichiban Hibachi in Bartonsville is run by the same people. The menu here is pretty much the same as the hibachi steakhouse minus the hibachi portion.

I have traveled all over the East Coast and each time I stop by a Chinese restaurant I always order a wonton soup. This place has the best tasting broth I've ever had. It has a strong chicken/beef flavor that you can taste the quality of the ingredients they use. The next time you order take out or dine in, spend the extra $1.50 and order the wonton soup and you will not regret it.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
